We seek to decrease organizations dependence on foundation funding by helping them develop broad base of individual donors to support their work. We will continue to uphold our vision and be guided by our political framework. Because we believe movement organizations must be effective and selfsufficient, our goal is to build the capacity of progressive organizations to raise money and to increase the number of people of color in fundraising. Our view of social justice organizations is broad and diverse, encompassing organizations of all sizes and types.

Our political framework guides our strategies and projects. Our focus on people of color is direct response to racial inequality. We provide technical assistance and training to groups with budgets as small as 10,000 per year and as large as 1,000,000.
GIFT approaches fundraising from justice orientation. Because we believe movement organizations must be effective and selfsufficient, our goal is to build the capacity of progressive organizations to raise money and to increase the number of people of color in fundraising. We also plan to continue all of our existing programs. We want to increase selfdetermination within communities of color and other constituencies working to create more just world. GIFT is currently undergoing major transition to merge with the Grassroots Fundraising Journal.
